Bengaluru International Airport

Bengaluru International Airport is the main mean to reach this city from overseas. It is run by Bangalore International Airport Ltd. The new airport of Bangalore starts its operation in May, 2008. It is located at a distance of 40 kilometers from the city centre of Bangalore and it covers 4,000 acres land. There is state government transport service to the airport from the city. Private taxi service is available to reach the city.

The ac passenger terminal of the airport accommodates both domestic and international passengers. The domestic and international lounges of the airport are located on the 2nd floor of the airport. 

The terminal building can accommodate 3,000 passengers at a busy hour. The airport has all the modern infrastructure of an airport which meets the standard of Airports Authority of India and the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Being the gateway to south India, Bangalore Airport receives a heavy traffic in a day. It has all the amenities of an international airport with all modern equipments. It has three domestic departure lounges and three international departure lounges.
