Cubbon Park is one of the main travel attractions in Bangalore located near Gandhi Nagar. Its foundation was started in 1864, laid by Sir Mark Cubbon, the then viceroy of India and this park was named after him. Covering an area of 250 acres the Cubbon Park is an ideal park for joggers. It was constructed and designed under the guidance of the then Chief Engineer of Mysore, Sir Richard Sankey.

The buildings located inside the park are Vidhana Soudha. The Public Library, the Government Museum and the High Court, Cheshire Dyer Memorial Hall, Ottawa Chatter, Children's amusement park, Doll museum, etc. The Vijayaranga Theater complex of the park is a venue for screens children's films and stage plays. The Bal Bhavan of the park has a Children toy train.
Bangalore is known as the garden city of India for this Cubbon Park. Locating in the heart of the city, Cubbon Park is always an attraction to the tourists. In the evening the park is lit with fairy fountains. Bangalore travel is sure to be incomplete without a visit to this park.
