Dedicated to lord Krishna Iskon temple of Bangalore is perched on a hillock to the west of Chord Road. The hillock is known as Hare Krishna Hill. It was constructed to celebrate the birth anniversary of founder of ISKON,
Sri Prabhupada. The architecture of the temple is neo-classical which combines the conventional temple architecture with modern hi-tech facilities.
The ambience of the temple is beautiful. Four 'gopurams' are seen inside the temple, which are connected to each other by a striking glazed-glass canopy. The hall of the temple is adorned with superb ceiling-paintings. Devotees gather at this hall for prayer and singing of devotional songs.
Bangalore ISKON temple has attractions like ISKCON Vedic Theatre, Vedic museums and exhibit areas, a lecture hall and beautifully landscaped gardens. The open-air amphitheatre is venue for the concerts and festivals.
