Savandurga Hills is an off the beaten travel destination located at a distance of 60 kilometers from Bangalore city. It is situated at an altitude of 1226 meters above sea level. One of the largest monolith hills in India, Savandurga Hills is a part of Deccan plateau and forms of peninsular gneiss, laterites, basic dykes and granite. It comprises of two hills namely Karigudda (black hill) and Billigudda (white hill).

Savandi Veerabhadreshwara Swamy temple and Narasimha Swamy temple are an attraction to the pilgrims which are located at the base of the hills.
Rock-climbers, cave-explorers and adventurers mist visit this hills while in Bangalore. . The dry deciduous forest of the hills is also a home to the endangered Yellow-throated Bulbuls, Sloth bears, Leopards, etc. More than 60 varieties of flora are found here.
